Sculptures

Lawrenceville Brick is fortunate to enjoy an association with several outstanding sculptors who utilize special tools  to carve our green brick into permanent works of art, harkening back to  Babylonian sculptures from the sixth century B.C.

Normally the sculptor consults with the architect or building owner to achieve the desired design using shapes and sizes available in Lawrenceville Brick.  The sculptor then works with Lawrenceville Brick  personnel to have the required sizes of green brick placed on a large easel inside our production facility.  Once  carved and prepared, the individual brick are numbered by the sculptor  for ease of organization in packaging and installation.

Lawrenceville Brick personnel  carefully  set the carved pieces on kiln cars for the drying and firing process.  Once the firing is complete, the pieces are packaged for shipment to the job site, where they are installed under the supervision of the sculptor.
